That service has blossomed into a full-scale surgery, physical rehabilitation, and pain management practice with three full-time locations—in Vienna, Leesburg, and Winchester—and a staff of 70 passionate and dedicated individuals. We've built a loyal base among local primary veterinarians and pet owners, who entrust us with the care of their patients and pets every day.
In 2004, Dr. Anke Langenbach set out to redefine veterinary surgical care in the region by starting a small mobile surgery service that championed the highest standards of care and compassion. For several years, she and a team of one or two technicians traveled to local veterinary practices and performed orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries.

None of the work we do would be possible without Team VSC, our amazing staff. We work to maintain a close-knit team that is honest, diligent, and trustworthy, and enjoys collaborating to find solutions and new pathways to care. We believe that when our staff succeeds, so do our patients—so we strive to offer advanced continuing education and training opportunities to team members as often as possible so they can grow in their roles. We know that everyone feels good when they do good, so we regularly provide reduced-cost services for local animal rescues and shelters and animal welfare organizations as well as local and federal working dog populations. Team VSC also regularly gives back to our community by participating in outreach events and programs, from sponsoring a different shelter pet each quarter to competing in local charity walks/runs, and more. Most notably, our team came in second place in the August 2016 Waggin' for Dragons charity boat race to benefit the Humane Society of Warren County—an event that raised over $20,000 for homeless pets!
