All of us at VSC & VSCR are inspired and brought to tears by the acts of heroism and show of strength on the part of so many individuals in Texas and other areas affected by Hurricane Harvey.
We believe that our humanity is inextricably tied to our treatment of animals, even in the worst circumstances. And so we are especially moved by the lengths to which pet owners, rescue workers, local government officials, and animal aid workers are going to protect and create safe spaces for pets as rescue efforts continue.
In response, VSC/VSCR has donated $1,000 to two Texas-based organizations working to protect furry friends and their humans in the wake of this disaster.
