Team VSC/VSCR had a blast at the Operation Paws For Homes Fast & Furriest 5/10K, held Sunday, April 10, in Frederick, Maryland. The event raised more than $12,000 for homeless pets in the Washington, D.C. metro region.
VSC is passionate about giving back to and supporting our community. Each year, we support events and programs by Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA), Homeward Trails Animal Rescue, Chase Alliance, and others.
Since its founding in 2010, Operation Paws for Homes has rescued over 5,000 dogs from high kill shelters. Volunteers, fosters and supporters across Virginia, Maryland, DC and southern central Pennsylvania work together to find forever homes for well-deserved dogs who find themselves in shelters through no fault of their own.
